Financial Control Lead Sweden & Nordics to Karo Healthcare

We’re currently looking for a Financial Control Lead for our office in Stockholm.

About the role

In this role you will lead and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Financial Control team across the Nordics (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Baltics).

You will:

  • Ensure integrity, accuracy, and compliance of accounting records in line with local GAAP standards and IFRS

  • Deliver timely and high-quality monthly and annual financial reporting

  • Review and validate accounting activities, strengthening internal controls and risk mitigation

  • Act as the key point of contact for accounting-related matters for the region in charge.

  • Collaborate closely with Controlling, Tax, VAT, Finance CoE and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure end-to-end financial excellence

  • Participate in improvement of accounting processes, systems and ERP optimization

  • Contribute accounting expertise to M&A projects and integration activities

  • Support and develop team members, fostering high-performance and knowledge sharing

  • Provide clear explanations for material deviations and actively support leadership decision-making

  • Prepare and ensure timely submission of annual reports and statutory financial statements in compliance with local GAAP standards and take an active role or lead the audit where applicable

About you

You hold a university degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field and bring extensive experience in financial accounting or financial control, ideally gained in FMCG or other fast‑paced environments. You have a proven track record of leading or coordinating finance teams and possess strong knowledge of local GAAP, with IFRS exposure considered a plus.

In addition to your leadership capabilities, you are also comfortable taking on hands‑on responsibilities within financial controlling, ensuring high‑quality and timely delivery of core accounting and reporting activities. Your understanding of end‑to‑end processes is solid, and you are confident working with integrated ERP systems as well as advanced Excel.

With a sharp analytical mindset and strong attention to detail, you thrive in international, multi‑entity settings and are familiar with dynamic, growth‑oriented organizations. Experience with M&A processes is an advantage, and you communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.
